Hospitality Talents, recruitment agency specialized in Hospitality profiles is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Director of Finance to join the Finance team of our client, a prestigious luxury hotel, opening in 2024, part of a Luxury Hotel Group that is known for its exceptional service and world-class standards.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Assist the Director of Finance in developing and implementing financial strategies.
  • Contribute to budget creation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure the team’s alignment with organizational goals.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency within the finance function.
  • Implement best practices to enhance financial workflows and controls.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic financial initiatives.
  • Provide financial input for decision-making on new projects and investments.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay updated on financial technologies and assist in their integration for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance financial reporting systems.

Skills Required

Candidate Profile

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to industry changes.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and contribute to strategic initiatives.
