The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing guest reservations accurately and efficiently while maximising room revenue through effective booking, upselling, and inventory management.

The role works closely with Revenue Management, Front Office, Sales, and Groups to ensure reservations are aligned with hotel strategy and delivered in accordance with Marriott standards.

The position requires strong knowledge of OPERA PMS, hotel rates, room types, availability, and reservation procedures, with a strong focus on guest service and revenue optimisation.

Major responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Manage reservations and guest communication: Handle enquiries, bookings, amendments, cancellations, and guest requests across telephone, email, and online channels, while coordinating with relevant hotel departments.
  • Maintain accurate reservation systems: Ensure OPERA PMS and Marriott systems are accurately updated with guest profiles, reservations, rates, room types, payment details, special requests, and booking conditions.
  • Support revenue management: Apply correct rates, availability, restrictions, packages, and promotions; monitor booking patterns and inventory; and identify opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling.
  • Coordinate hotel operations: Work closely with Front Office, Revenue Management, Sales, and Groups to manage VIPs, group bookings, special requests, arrivals, room preferences, and operational requirements.
  • Deliver excellent guest service and reporting: Maintain Marriott service standards, provide personalised guest support, prepare reservation reports, and ensure strong knowledge of hotel facilities, room types, rates, packages, and programmes.

Profil du Candidat

  • You have relevant experience in a similar position within the hotel industry (must)
  • Experience with OPERA PMS is a strong asset
  • Experience with Marriott systems or standards is a strong advantage
  • You are guest-oriented, professional, and commercially minded
  • You have strong communication and organisational skills
  • You work accurately and have a strong eye for detail
  • You are proactive and solution-oriented, even during busy periods
  • You have a natural talent for sales and upselling
  • You are a true team player and enjoy working with different departments
  • You are flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
