Opened since May 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks the hotel brand’s third outpost in Europe. Set in the city’s Northern Quarter, The Standard, Brussels brings the brand’s design, culture and activation-driven phi-losophy to Belgium.

With 180 guestrooms (plus 20 residences), the modern, new-build project features many stages for The Standard’s renowned day- and nightlife. A ground-floor greenhouse welcomes guests and locals into the lob-by lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar and garden—set to become a neighbourhood destination. Throughout the building, additional public and private event spaces are platforms for happenings.

JOB PURPOSE

A Sales Trainee carries out tasks assigned by the Director of Sales, with the aim of achieving previously defined objectives.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Director of Sales in identifying new business opportunities and potential clients in the MICE & Corporate indus-try, using various sources and tools such as online databases, trade shows, networking events and referrals.
• Research and analyse market trends, competition, customer needs and pricing strategies, and provide information and recommendations to the sales team and management.
• Assist the sales team with the planning and execution of sales activities such as preparation of brochures, sales presenta-tion, sales blitzes, familiarization trips etc.
• Prepare and submit proposals, RFP responses, contracts and other sales documents in a timely and professional manner in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
• Participate in sales presentations and site inspections, in person or virtually, and provide support to the National and In-ternational Sales Manager or other senior sales staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, contacts and account information in the company CRM system and produce regular reports and analysis as required.
• Attend training sessions, meetings and events as required by the Director of Sales, and develop and continually improve sales skills, product knowledge and industry expertise.
• Assist the Events Operations Coordinator with the execution of events, where needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
