Our client, an internationally renowned player in the hospitality sector, operates a vibrant hotel in the heart of Brussels. More than just a hotel, this property is a true urban destination, attracting a diverse, cosmopolitan clientele through its creative atmosphere, bold architecture, and dynamic programming.
To strengthen the team and enhance guest experience, we are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager, with a strong operational mindset and a particular focus on breakfast service, team leadership, and day-to-day performance.
Your Responsibilities
As Restaurant Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the main restaurant. You will ensure a high standard of service, smooth team coordination, and an exceptional guest experience.
Key duties:
- Lead, organize, and support the service team with an active on-the-floor presence (openings, closings, weekends).
- Supervise and optimize the breakfast service (buffet and à la carte) based on hotel occupancy and guest flow.
- Manage staff schedules, attendance tracking, and labor tools (scheduling systems, POS, PMS integrations, breakfast packages, etc.).
- Coordinate closely with kitchen, front office, events, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Uphold brand standards and service excellence across all shifts.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members in a positive, structured environment.
- Act as a role model and ensure an authentic, warm, and generous guest welcome.
Skills Required
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in a branded hotel or high-volume hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel food & beverage operations, with specific expertise in breakfast service.
- Proficient with labor management tools: staff scheduling, timekeeping systems, POS, PMS, and guest package integration.
- Natural team leader with solid organizational skills and hands-on attitude.
- Enjoys training and developing others, with a positive and coaching-oriented mindset.
- Open, energetic, proactive, and guest-focused personality, comfortable engaging with international guests.
- Fluent in French and English (Dutch is a plus).
