Hospitality Talents – Recruitment Agency is currently looking for an hands-on Train Manager to join the team of our client in Brussels, but with rail connections across Europe.
Our client is a fast-growing hospitality provider specializing in onboard service for international passenger rail operations. Their mission is to transform train journeys into memorable travel experiences by delivering high-quality, passenger-focused service.
Operating across international night train routes, they combine operational excellence, multicultural teamwork, and hospitality standards inspired by aviation and premium travel environments.
To support their continued growth, they are currently seeking Train Managers to oversee onboard operations and lead crew teams.
Role Overview
The Train Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of onboard services and delivering an exceptional passenger experience throughout the journey.
Acting as the operational leader onboard, you will supervise the crew, coordinate service delivery, handle passenger needs, and liaise with railway partners to ensure safe, efficient, and seamless travel.
This role combines leadership, hospitality excellence, and real-time operational management in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Coordination
- Prepare crew schedules and conduct pre-departure briefings
- Assign responsibilities and ensure service standards are maintained
- Provide guidance, coaching, and active support during the journey
- Foster teamwork, motivation, and professional conduct onboard
Passenger Experience & Service Excellence
- Deliver clear onboard announcements and travel information
- Ensure a warm welcome and high-quality service throughout the journey
- Handle passenger inquiries, feedback, and special requests
- Resolve issues and manage sensitive situations professionally
Operational Coordination
- Liaise with railway operators and service suppliers
- Manage unexpected situations and ensure operational continuity
- Ensure safety procedures and service protocols are respected
- Report to the back office and complete journey reports after each trip

Languages
- Dutch and English required
- French and/or German are strong assets
Experience & Requirements
- Relevant experience in hospitality, passenger service, or transport environments
- Experience in rail, aviation, cruise, or mobile hospitality operations is highly valued
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands
- Willing to travel and stay away from home 2–4 nights per rotation
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
