voco Ghent, the new name and identity of the former Holiday Inn Ghent, is looking for an enthusiastic Breakfast Cook who will provide guests with a high-quality, well-presented breakfast experience every morning.

As Breakfast Cook, you are responsible for preparing, presenting and monitoring the breakfast buffet. Thanks to your eye for detail, organisational skills and passion for hospitality, our guests will start their day in the best possible way.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and present the breakfast buffet in accordance with voco’s quality standards.
• Prepare hot and cold breakfast dishes.
• Ensure that the buffet is attractively arranged and impeccably presented.
• Replenish and check products throughout the service.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and HACCP guidelines.
• Manage stock and ensure that food products are stored correctly.
• Work closely with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth service.
• Respond proactively to guests’ questions and requests.

• You have experience in a kitchen role, preferably in breakfast service or a hotel kitchen.
• You are an early riser and enjoy working morning shifts.
• You are passionate about fresh produce and high-quality presentation.
• You can work independently, are well organised and remain calm under pressure.
• You are familiar with HACCP guidelines.
• You are flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• You speak Dutch; knowledge of English is an asset.
